Usually it's something boring as hell.
So generally I issue the stock, "Same ol' same ol' ", or rough equivalent.
Not that it's in any way exciting, but you asked...
so...
Lately I've been in here...
My back yard...
Logging...
Small scale.
I know... It's like one of those mighty-hunter photos,
with the guy holding up the rack of his record buck.
But...
But...
It's a Poplar: the cockroach of trees.
It was blocking the light to 'better' trees.
I'll use nearly every stick for firewood,
and...
the brush is stacked in these nifty, bunny no-tell motels.
the brush is stacked in these nifty, bunny no-tell motels.
The big chunks are dragged out...
and are being used here...
on my sawmill shed.
Anway...
That's what I've been up to this week.
Next week I'll be painting...
Same ol' same ol'.
I want to build stuff!
ReplyDeleteAnnie...
ReplyDeleteHow 'bout you build a bridge from Arkansas to Tennessee.
Don't look like same ol', same ol', to me..
ReplyDeleteare those long beams on top recycled from somewhere.. or are they pre-drilled for a particular purpose... Looks like it will stand the wrath of time...
and how thoughtful to make those little houses for the rabbits... or is that just so you know where they are in case it is rabbit stew time?
I know... too many questions... can't help it, I'm a detail person...
Ahhhh finally!
ReplyDeleteGwen...
ReplyDeleteNever too many questions. My 'recycled' lumber, barn beams and what-not, usually goes into furniture. Almost all of the wood I cut on my sawmill and build with is, windfall or trees that were in somebody's way. Occasionally, I'll drop a Poplar, like the one in the picture... think of it as responsible forestry.
With all the grief my rabbit buddies gave me last year, you'd think I'd have hossenfeffer more often. I guess I'm not man enough to pull the trigger.
Stephanie... what are we down to, a couple weeks?
