My buddy Mike Loyd is retired, and has nothing to do. So on the days I'm out working, he drops by and stokes the fires in my house and shop.
Now I would marry him for this act of charity alone. But he brings me food, too. Like today, I come home and find this in the shop...
a pot...
of beans...
Mike Loyd is King.
Oh. And look... I wanted to show you this...
the sign I've been working on...
Elsewhere.
Indeed.
How lovely to return home to a roaring fire, and a pot of beans simmering on the stove !
ReplyDeleteSimply sweet.
Love the sign, lovely script.

ReplyDeletei heat with wood, too. i know what a good warm fire means. i know what it means to not have one, too. and the beans - well, you said it, Mike Loyd is King.

oh this is perfect.. so now when somebody is looking for you, you can always be elsewhere and be right where you want. very clever!
ReplyDelete.. you got a good friend there...
"This is not the exact location at which I stand,
ReplyDeleteneither is it the place I wish to be.
How fortunate then that I'm elsewhere."
Love the sign :)
